Baramulla, Jun 06 (KNO): In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC) in Baramulla has announced a special bus service to facilitate public movement on the occasion of Eid ul Adha.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the dedicated routes, operational from early morning, aim to assist residents in reaching prayer venues and visiting family and friends during the religious festival.
The services will connect key localities such as Sheeri, Khawaja Bagh, Khanpora, Sangrama and central Baramulla, officials said.
The special bus service will commence at 7:00 AM with the first trip from Sheeri to Khawaja Bagh followed by Khawaja Bagh to Khanpora at 7:45 AM. “Two buses are scheduled at 9:00 AM—one from Eidgah Baramulla to Sheeri, and another from Bus Stand Baramulla to Sangrama. The final trip will depart from Sangrama to Baramulla at 9:45 AM.”
“This is the first time such a service is being offered on Eid in Baramulla. It reflects the commitment to make public transport accessible and responsive to community needs,” said an official at JKRTC Baramulla.
